Student Achievements

Student Achievement is celebrated and recognized in the academic, social and athletic life of the students at St. Francis of Assisi School. 

The students are actively involved in goal setting, self monitoring and are encouraged to attain their goals through various classroom activities.  Report cards are issued three times per year.  Parents are invited to share in their child’s progress through parent –teacher interviews, and student-led conferences.  In Grades 4 – 7 letter grades are assigned in the core subject areas and students are given the opportunity to achieve Honor Roll standing.

Social Responsibility is valued and its achievements are celebrated.  The Social Justice Committee  works within the school and neighbouring community to foster an  awareness of children helping children. Student participation in other areas includes; in school mentoring programs, service clubs, and peer helpers. 

Athletic and artistic achievements are fostered through participation on the Wolves sports teams, competing in tournaments, and performances in choir. 

The safe and nurturing environment provided by the administration and staff, helps students to develop confidence in their individual talents allowing them to become successful learners.Awards and certificates are given to students throughout the year to celebrate and encourage the successes of our students and to foster a caring and supportive community. 

Academic Awards: are given at the end of each term to recognize intermediate students who have achieved straight A's on thier report card.

Wolves Awards: following the end of a sport's season, certificates are given to all players on a competitive sports team.
