Student Achievements

Student Achievement is celebrated and recognized in the academic, social and athletic life of the students at St. Francis of Assisi School.

The students are actively involved in goal setting, self monitoring and are encouraged to attain their goals through various classroom learning activities.  We Communicate Student Learning throughout the year, encouraging students, parents, and teachers to work together to support each child.  Parents are invited to share in their child’s progress through 3-Way conferences,  student-led conferences, and various celebrations of learning held throughout the year.

Social Responsibility is valued and its achievements are celebrated.  The Social Justice Committee  works within the school and neighbouring community to foster an awareness of children helping children. Student participation in other areas includes; in school mentoring programs, service clubs, and peer helpers.

Athletic and artistic achievements are fostered through participation on the Wolves sports teams, competing in tournaments, and performances in a spectacular fine arts Christmas concert and multitude of choir performances.

The safe and nurturing environment provided by the administration and staff, helps students to develop confidence in their individual talents allowing them to become successful learners. Opportunities are given to students throughout the year to celebrate and encourage their successes and to foster a caring and supportive community.

Wolves Recognition Assemblies: following the end of an extra-curricular or co-curricular program (i.e. athletics teams, service clubs, Destination Imagination, choir), recognition is given to all participants.
