SFA Carnival a huge success!

On Sunday, June 14,  in the beautiful parish gardens, our community celebrated a Medieval-inspired carnival.

We had a wonderful time!
Many thanks to our lead organizer, Michael Gall, for his wonderful vision and incredible initiative to put this together.
A big thank you to his lead crew:
Sarah Rodgers (Talent show), Samar Khalaf (accounting), Olivia Bell (games), Cinthia Mendoza (Jumble sale), and Sonia Erichsen (food).
as well as the many, many parents and student volunteers that day.  This was a class event for Grades 3 and 7.
The Carnival was a tremendous success.  Our day included:
- Great games and events: including: themed races, games, and competitions; an archery range, bouncy cas-
tle, dragon slayer, rat-a-pult, and a dunk tank
- “Ye Olde Jumble Sale” in the church hall. Unsold items were donated to a charity.
- Talent Show on our outdoor stage. Sarah, our parent organizer, scouraged the parish searching for star power!
- This was a highlight of the day for so many people.  To see so many of our students sharing their gifts and talents with everyone.  Well done, SFA!
- arts and crafts area. Kids can build crowns, swords, shields, etc.
- GRADE 7’s hosted a St. Francis’ Menagerie.
- for the adults in the crowd, there was a tavern. Enjoyed a beer or wine, and pretend it’s Mead.
- fantastic food from the past, no fork required - Loved the turkey leg!
