Social Justice

Social Justice Committee

The Social Justice Committee at St. Francis of Assisi School is made up of intermediate students whose aim is to reach out to the local and global community to support causes that promote the dignity and well being of all people.  In the past, activities included a vow of silence, a Valentine’s Day bake sale, toonie colour days, and a penny drive.  The earnings from these events have gone to support our local food bank and “Free the Children,” a global organization committed to providing the less fortunate with the basic necessities of life.

The Social Justice Committee always strives to develop new, creative and fun ways to help those in need, and is excited about the great events planned in the future to make the world  a better place.  We invite you to make a difference with us.
